Mae Haad Beach Koh Phangan is one of the most popular places on the island and has everything you need for your beach holiday. The beach is silky soft and golden, stretching the length of the bay. Most people congregate at one end of the beach, near the main seafront restaurant, but if you’re looking for a more peaceful day just simply walk to the other end of the beach where you’ll find absolutely no-one.
On a clear day, the foliage is so vibrant with colour here that it reflects off the water making the sea appear a rich lagoon green. Almost all year round you can walk across the adjoining sand bar, which links Koh Ma with Mae Haad Beach.
Swimming at Mae Haad Beach Koh Phangan is excellent all year but it can get a little wavy in monsoon season (September to December). High tides are from September to March.
