Activities & Attractions

The soft white sandy beach stretches from Thongsala all the way to the rocky outcrop that marks the start of the Haad Rin Peninsula. Much of Baan Tai Beach is very peaceful and fringed with coconut trees and tropical fauna. The water is warm all year round, clear and turquoise in colour. The waters here are rarely too rough for swimming and there’s plenty of marine life waiting to be discovered when snorkelling. The coral reef is quite a long way out from the beach During low tides, the water is shallow until the reef, so not ideal for swimming. Water sport activities include kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and kite surfing. During the windy months, Baan Tai becomes a mecca for kite surfing on Koh Phangan.
